The writer isn’t quite sure he’s going to use his real name yet, owing to the idea that he might need gainful employment and his writing tends to be more inflammatory than is usually permissible in polite society. Then again, he just told you he was male. And, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to note that he and his far better half currently reside in Minneapolis, MN.
And while we’re on the subject of the author, it should really be noted that he isn’t new to this whole blogging thing, given that he used to write the cult-favorite blog, thisisnotfunny.com. Okay, so maybe it wasn’t a cult favorite, as much as it was a guilty pleasure. Alright, so it really wasn’t that either, as much as it was a useful place for porn websites to spam. Fuckers.
Anyway, his tepid and marginal return to blogging came really just because after he worked at Minnesota ACT (America Coming Together), he returned to the corporate world because he felt that his soul needed to be crushed again. This was successful, but the lack of a soul left him muttering to himself about this and that daily injustice and really, it was freaking his coworkers out, so he started up a blog again to park these thoughts. Mostly so he won’t blurt things out in boardroom-level meetings like: “Well, how fucking Republican of you! Pig.”
Oh, and the name of the site? Well, someone bought thisisnotfunny.com and won’t respond to requests to buy it back, so he needed to come up with something else. Czechedout.com won the award for “Best Website Name Thought of in 30 Seconds or Less While Needing to Hurry Up and Register SOMETHING Already, Because You’ve Got an Appointment You’re Late For.” It refers to the author’s current state of being and the fact that he and his wife are moving to Prague very soon. So there’s that, as well.
